My Grandmother Bowe first introduced me to the magic of Walt Disney World when I was a little girl, and it has held a special place in my heart ever since. She took me to experience each of the parks and all the excitement they had to offer, and she was always happy to ride right alongside me. Our favorite was Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride in Magic Kingdom.
Years later, I was disappointed to learn that the Walt Disney World attraction had closed, but I discovered that Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride was still operating at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. When I took my first trip to Disneyland with my daughter, Ashleigh, in 2019, I made sure it was the first attraction on our list.
As the ride began, tears filled my eyes and years of memories came rushing back. Although my grandmother was no longer with us, for those few moments, I felt as though she was right there beside me again. I could practically hear her laugh and smell her perfume. I never imagined that such a simple yet meaningful experience would have such a lasting impact on my life.
I have my Grandmother Bowe to thank for my love of travel and my passion for creating meaningful memories. Over the years, I have been fortunate to make many more priceless memories with my husband, Nick, and my daughter, Ashleigh.
I have visited Walt Disney World more than 50 times and stayed at 17 different Disney resorts, ranging from value to deluxe accommodations. I have also experienced Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Disney Cruise Line. Universal Orlando is another longtime favorite, especially the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where visiting Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade never gets old, I have stayed here as well in all resort categories.
My husband and daughter are the thrill seekers in the family, while I am usually more comfortable cheering them on as they ride attractions such as The Incredible Hulk Coaster and Jurassic World VelociCoaster. Every family travels differently, and that is one of the reasons I believe vacations should be planned around the interests, comfort levels, and personalities of the people taking them.
My own travels have continued to expand well beyond the theme parks. I have explored Europe by land and sea, sailed on cruises throughout the Caribbean and Mediterranean, experienced beautiful caribbean resorts, and traveled through Europe by rail. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the history, culture, food, scenery, and unforgettable moments that make every destination unique.
In March 2019, I became a professional travel advisor so I could help others experience that same sense of excitement, connection, and discovery. Today, I plan Disney and Universal vacations, cruises, all-inclusive resort stays, European adventures, rail vacations, and memorable getaways throughout the United States and around the world.
No matter where you want to go, my goal is to take the stress out of planning and help you create a vacation filled with experiences you will remember long after you return home.
